Judicial Candidates 2026
This year only four people have filed for Judicial offices in Minnesota in addition to the incumbents. This means that you will see just one name listed on your Ballot for almost every Judicial office.
There are three exceptions:
JD5, Court 5: I have spoken with one of the two candidates for this position and she does not want to have official Republican support. The other candidate for Court 5 did not return my calls. I left a detailed message, so my conclusion is that he understood why I was calling and that he also does not want our official support. This means that we can’t suggest to any Republican that they vote for either of them. They might be DFLers. Or they might think that they want to emphasize that Judicial offices are (technically) Nonpartisan.
JD9, Court 2 : The challenger in this race did not return my call and Incumbents never accept Party support, so we can’t tell Republicans to vote for them.
JD10, Court 38: I spoke with one of the candidates, who told me that the race was Nonpartisan, so he didn’t want official support. The other candidate did not return my calls. So, we can’t encourage Republicans to vote for them.
